The September Eleventh attack on the World Trade Center was a devastating reminder that there are people in this world who despise our very existence. Among all of the negative effects that resulted from the attack, there was one positive. The military experienced one of their highest recruiting cycles ever. Among these new recruits were two friends who interrupted their college years to join the military. Chris Martin and Danny Ferguson had been friends from elementary school right through college. They were both patriots coming from very patriotic families, so there was little resistance when they both informed their families that they were going to enlist. However, their close-knit bond weakened as they were assigned to different locations for basic training. In fact, their military careers became the catalyst for leading permanently separate lives that left one of them forever searching for the other. Chris never stopped searching for his friend, and when the search ended, the results proved to be shockingly outside of the norm. As a result of a catastrophic accident and with the help of others that they both met because of it, the two friends were able to mold a different relationship that was both unbelievable and bewildering to all who witnessed it. This new connection enabled them to exist outside of anticipated reality, but well within the framework of unexpected phenomena.
