DP Architects on Marina Bay

Collin Anderson,Ian Choo

This book chronicles the history of DP Architects and its involvement in the creation of Singapore’s Marina Bay over a period spanning 50 years. It discusses the relationship between land reclamation and the conception of architecture and public space in Singapore through projects that represent a diverse range of building types, including hotels, malls, and offices, as well as cultural and performance spaces. Each project has a vital public component that contributes to the connectivity of Marina Bay and its success as the nation’s civic core. AUTHOR: Collin Anderson holds degrees in civil engineering and architecture from Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. He works as a designer in the Paris office of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Collin has previously written two books for DP Architects, Master Architect Series: DP Architects (2011) and Evolution of a Retail Streetscape: DP Architects on Orchard Road (2012). Ian Choo graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the Faculty of Design, Architecture & Building at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has been working with DP Architects since 2013 as an Architecture Associate.
