The Howard E. LeFevre ‘29 Emerging Practitioner Fellowship provides an individual with a nine-month residency to investigate a specific project related to his or her overall development, to produce an exhibition and lecture concerning that work, and to develop their ideas within the context of teaching an architectural design studio. Since 2000, the LeFevre Fellowship has been occupied by architects and designers with a range of research interests within and around the practice of architecture. The scope of concerns has included history, theory, contemporary culture, media, technology, material assembly, and advanced techniques with respect to the design of the built environment. All of these topics have been addressed during a crucial period in which the discipline has seen the development of digital and technological processes and strategies, the consequences and potentials of which are part of the work of each fellow shown herein. This catalogue is a record of the inquiries and proposals that were developed thanks to the LeFevre Fellowship. AUTHOR: Benjamin Wilke is the editor of the Source Books in Architecture series and teaches design studios and seminars at the undergraduate and graduate level at the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.
