Tobacco Roots: Just This Side of WWII

Writing about a small Kentucky community during the ‘60s might seem little more than a walk down memory lane. But nostalgia, while ever so pleasant, is just the bones of my poetry. Walk with me. I promise I’ll put meat on those bones-for instance, the value of childhood freedom, the importance of place and community. The rhythm of time pulsating at the edge of consciousness will boom forth in the lens of retrospect.
