A mission trip to Haiti becomes an event that will change their lives forever. While visiting an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Mike, Katie, and their daughters formed an immediate bond with a precious little boy named Marvin and the seeds of adoption were planted. God was faithful through the lengthy process as they realized He sometimes expands our families in unexpected ways. A harrowing birth parent search, ransom demands, seven overseas trips, a sea of paperwork, and countless prayers and tears stood between them and bringing Marvin home. Two years and two months after their chance encounter, Marvin came home to Tennessee as the son, little brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who would steal everyone's heart.
