She attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and is currently pursuing her culinary degree from El Centro College in Dallas, Texas. She serves on the Operation Frontline task force which works in conjunction with the North Texas Food Bank by providing nutrition education, and has been a winner of numerous cooking competitions at the State Fair of Texas. In addition, her frequent travels to Italy and France to attend specialty cooking classes in order to further hone her culinary skills, coupled with her love of cooking in general is the inspiration behind Cooking Bouquet: Feeling at Home in the Kitchen.
