The Rebuilding Coach: Book of Nehemiah study provides valuable lessons on and off the field. Nehemiah's leadership and determination to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem serve as a prime example of effective team management. Just like a coach rallying their team for a comeback in the final moments of a game, Nehemiah inspired the people to work together towards a common goal despite facing challenges and opposition. In Nehemiah, you will witness a profound journey of rebuilding and renewal. As coaches, you can draw inspiration and lessons from their leadership and dedication to restoring their community. Ezra's commitment to teaching God's law and Nehemiah's unwavering determination to rebuild Jerusalem's walls despite opposition are powerful examples. They demonstrate the importance of perseverance, faith, and the ability to inspire others toward a common goal. But as a Christian coach, you will also recognize the main actor in Nehemiah is God.

Josh Thiessen, son of longtime coach and Kingdom Sports founder Gordon Thiessen, understands the influential role coaches play and the need to equip them with the wisdom of the Word of God. As the teaching pastor at Providence Bible Church near Omaha, NE, Josh is passionate about teaching and explaining Scripture verse by verse. He is married to Ashley and the father of four active boys. A graduate of The Master's Seminary (M.Div, Th.M.), Josh is currently completing his Ph.D. at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
