Echidna

Echidnas look spikey and dangerous, but they are really very cute once you get to know them. They waddle through gardens, turning their spines towards sniffing dogs and delighting us if we are lucky enough to see one. Out in the bush, they have an important role in the environment, keeping termites under control.
