The title looks at many claimed UFO sightings around the world, both historical and recent. It separates out those sightings which are simply unexplained lights in the sky, and concentrates on sightings of physical objects. It looks at the explanations offered for them, both by disbelievers and believers, covering explanations which require no expansion of our knowledge of Physics, and those which do. It uses the locations of these sightings to asses their impact on the possibility of alien bases. It looks at the possible origins of UFOs as to whether they are Extra Terrestrial, Intra Terrestrial, come from an earlier Earth civilisation, or even possibly from parallel dimensions.
It looks at how the USA has dealt with multiple sightings by setting up a secret organisation to deal with them, and which has effectively become an uber-state which has more power than the President. They were developing a United States Space Force, long before the President set one up, using black budgets to build space vehicles.
The title suggests that Aliens have been using Earth to site small colonies either underground or underwater. Some of these date back into pre-history and may even have been responsible for triggering the growth of our civilisation. It suggests that there are benevolent and malevolent aliens, and there have been many battles to defend Earth.
