In spring 2014, Vladimir Putin ordered the sovereign country of Ukraine to be occupied by Russian troops. Crimea was occupied, along with 4 or 5 cities in eastern Ukraine. Putin ordered attacks on the country again on February 22, 2022. He ordered full-scale missile attacks on cities, including the capital of Kiev. He has a habit of attacking much smaller neighboring countries such as Georgia and Chechnya, and now Ukraine. Russia has a 5 to 1 advantage in soldiers over Ukraine.

Mr. Putin was told by his Ministers and spies that he and the Russian army would be welcomed by the Ukrainians as liberators and heroes. And that the Ukrainian surrender would take 5 days (we are now in the 24th month of war). He was badly mistaken; Ukrainians immediately rejected the Russian invasion and have turned to the "west," saying this is where their future lies. They wish to join the EU and also NATO. This has infuriated Vladimir Putin and his cohorts in the Kremlin. Putin says he ordered the attack because he thinks Ukraine was part of Russia in medieval times, and secondly, that NATO countries were too close to Russia. Ukraine's success and future survival are very dependent on a continual flow of these weapons from NATO countries, especially the USA.

Ukraine has never been part of Russia, but this book provides the real reasons for the attack. It was last "Occupied" by Russia from 1921-1991. Putin has now been charged with genocide by the International Court of Justice, at the Hague, Holland. Russia shows no signs of stopping the war, even though the Ukrainian army has blocked them from further progress.

After two years, the war has cost over 300,000 Russian soldiers' lives, 65,000 Ukrainian soldiers' lives, 10,000 Ukrainian civilian lives, and over 5,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children. Incredibly, Russia is still on the UN Security Council as this book is written.
