Black Treachery

In 1779, France and Spain, seeing British forces stretched by the rebellion in America, plan an Armada together with massed troops to invade Britain. A truly mighty force. The principal initial target is Portsmouth being the Royal Navy’s premier port and a strategic stronghold. Before the planned event, a French Major assisted by a British traitor execute a covert operation to survey the defences and seek hidden funds to activate local support in Portsmouth. King George III is indecisive to the leaked military plan. Who is there to unearth the conspirators and military plan then? Action, mystery, intrigue, romance, murder and humour combine the true events with dramatised effects as the unlikely saviours battle to thwart the conspirators.
