Peter roared as I clawed at my skin and tugged at my hair, grappling with myself as I smashed my face into the desk before slamming the letter opener through my left hand. ‘Not enough, ’ he screamed, laughing…The outside world is coming, encroaching, bringing conflict to The Temple with physical force and fake truths, leading the country into an explosion of protest as political and religious factions battle for power. But, as the elites feud, the protests are evolving, from the fragmented Gilets Jaunes and #underclass to something organised, unified, with The Lurk at its heart.The internal world is coming, encroaching, bringing conflict to Peter. As his physical world is torn down Peter must fight internal battles through his realities of addiction, mental illness, visions and hallucinations, where nothing is real and allegiances are continually switching, until his multiple truths are revealed.
