This book was written to address incorrect perceptions of African Initiated Churches, in particular the Cherubim and Seraphim church.
It draws on the historical background of the foundation and emergence of the church in its various manifestations over time. It is designed and structured to further the ongoing dialogue about necessary reforms required in the church.
This will allow it to become more relevant to contemporary times, whilst recognising the rich history on which it is founded.
The book therefore is intended to provide a common understanding of where we have come from and where we are heading.
The book elaborates on AIC typology at the beginning in order to show that the Cherubim & Seraphim Church is
just one of the work of the Holy Spirit moving across the continents during the late 19th and early 20th centuries principally to enhance the Salvation message of the Gospel of Christ as a way of reviving the apparent decline in Christian charisma. Hence aspects of the lost virtues of ethereal gifts and thaumaturgy perspectives of Christianity can be brought back into Christian lives through renewed faith and belief in efficacy of prayer.
