Pariah status was once the lot of the Jewish People. It has now devolved upon the Jewish state and this book highlights reasons for the continuing hostility. Part I sets the mood with ‘says’ and ‘don’t says’. They are for use in private conversation, at dinner parties or on social or public media. Also considered are such recurring themes as ‘Diversion Strategy’, ‘Soft-Touch targeting’ and ‘Replacement Theology’. Part II deals with Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), Jews against the Jewish state (self-hating Jews), the Hebrew language as a key Pro-active aid as well as Judaism and Jewish Nationalism (Zionism). Part III is about the fellahin (‘Palestinians’) who are now Christian and Muslim, but weren’t always thus: they were originally Jewish - and therefore part of the People of Israel. Who says so? David Ben Gurion and Yitzhak Ben Zvi, scholar in Jewish demography. The scholastic evidence is overwhelming. Fellahin don’t care to know they were once Jewish, nor do Jews. ‘Selling’ the idea to either side is a nightmare. Part III argues that it is nevertheless a top priority, because it offers a route out of the quagmire. Christian ‘Palestinians’ in Nazareth are leading the way. They have re-identified with the Jewish state - as Christians. In time Muslim Palestinians may follow suit. The Israel-based ‘Engagement’ - or better ‘Re-engagement’ - movement has been advocating just this. This UK-based book is written under the auspices of The Engagement.
