Life is comfortable but a little dull for nine-year-old twins Ekom and Chike, who live with their widowed mother, Ima, and teenage aunt, Mfon, in Lagos, Nigeria. What the twins want more than anything is for their mother to spend time with them, but Ima, unaware that she is neglecting their emotional welfare, is more concerned with running her late husband’s successful import/export business, Across Borders. While Ima is away, it falls to beautiful, but naive Mfon, to take care of the twins. Little Devils is a play that explores the importance of communication and trust within the family, showing that money does not necessarily lead to happiness.
