Royal Society member artist Philip James ROI publishes his work in landscape painting developed since the 1960s to present time. The volume includes studies made on site in the South Downs West Sussex, in Dartmoor Devon, Cumbria and Cornwall and abroad in Spain and Greece. From 2002 he created a collection of panel paintings in sets of between seventy and one hundred thirty centimetre square studies which interpret in vibrant colours lyrical metaphors for journeys in different regions; Yorkshire, the C otswolds, to the isle of Jura off Scotland.
