An unusual title! The Enemy Within is yet another mind-boggling piece by Oluwakemi Ola-Ojo. In this book, she draws attention to how our success and/or advancement in life is sometimes impeded or terminated by persons with whom we share close relationships and, by circumstances of life, which are sometimes hereditary or brought upon us by our acts of commission or omission. Oluwakemi Ola-Ojo takes the discourse from close families such as siblings, parents and spouses to extended relationships such as in-laws, colleagues and bosses in the workplace as well as neighbours and leaders in the nation. The book also explores the effect of such conditions as sickness and poverty as they impact on the human life but concludes that of all of these persons or conditions, the greatest enemy to be conquered is ‘self’. A very interesting and highly educative book that cuts across gender, age and status! It comes highly recommended.
