In April 2007, as a result of reading the Bible over a number of years, a young man was led by the grace of God to place his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Letters were written and posted week by week to provide him with a little encouragement during his first steps along the pathway of Christian obedience. These were published in Letters To A New Believer with the intention that a wider readership would benefit from them. This second volume is published with the same desire. Although some personal references have been removed, the original informality of the letters has been retained. Since 1974 David Newell has lived and worked in Glasgow, where he is in fellowship with the believers who meet in Eastpark Gospel Hall.
