Northern Eden: Community-based wildlife management in Canada

The IIED’s ‘Evaluating Eden’ Project investigates and evaluates the environmental, social, and economic aspects of community-based wildlife management. Contributions provide some historical background on Aboriginal wildlife rights and the comprehensive claims process, discuss the current status of wildlife co-management, and examine specific wildlife-based activities undertaken: subsistence hunting, commercial hunting, wildlife tourism, and game ranching.
