A Global Agenda, Issues Before the 60th General Assembly of the United Nations

This annual publication is produced by the United Nations Association of the United States of America, a leading centre of policy research on the UN and foreign policy issues. This edition marks the 60th anniversary of the UN, and it examines the work of the UN and its agencies during the past year, as well as key reform proposals and development goals. It includes chapters and essays on a range of topics including: the UN High-level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change and the Millennium Project report; peacekeeping, disarmament and security issues; the Millennium Development Goals and their five-year review; human rights and humanitarian assistance activities, including natural disaster response; and trade, health and international law issues.
