In the Kitchen with Honey

This book was created to support young people interested in beekeeping. The idea of this book started as a way to help raise money for youth programs in beekeeping. This concept has picked up momentum as we spread the word that we were interested in new recipes that use honey as a sweetener or flavoring. We have compiled 125 recipes from over 75 different people from around the world.

Wicwas Press LLC is a family-run business that will award the royalties from the sale of the book to one or more youth programs in bees and beekeeping.

Because honey is sweet, it is no surprise that many of the recipies we received fall into the dessert and sweets categories. It has been more of a challege to find ways to use honey in protein dishes, sauces, dressing and savories where the honey adds another level of flavor.

This collection of recipes provides a quick cross-section of how folks use honey in today's busy world. Let your imagination and creativity bloom like that of the youth wanting to get into beekeeping. Please, please invite your kids to join you in making one of these recipes.
