The need for this competition evolved over many years during which time member countries of UEFA began to play more and more meaningless 'Friendly' matches which, lacking any competitive edge, failed to attract any sort of enthusiastic support or numbers. It now replaces most of those games and ensures that equally-ranked teams are able to meet one another more frequently in a way that stimulates public interest in the game.

This book is a complete match-by-match statistical record of every game played in the UEFA Nations League from its inception in 2018. For each game played in both the Leagues section and Finals Tournaments from the first games in the 2018-19 series through to the Final game of the 2024/25 series full details of the players from both teams, scores, scorers, timings, substitutions, referees, locations and attendances are shown in full.
