This Selected is a reprint of the 1970 Penguin edition, where the work shared space with a selection of work by another Hungarian poet, Sandor Weoeres. Translated by David Wevill, it forms part of a comprehensive survey from Shearsman Books of Wevill’s work as poet and translator, while bringing back into print in English a highly original poet who deserves to be part of the history of European poetry in the 20th century.
