Beyond the buzzword, BIG DATA needs to be clarified and treated as a science with underlying concepts and open source tools for implementation. Big Data is a couple with DATA MANAGEMENT and DATA ANALYTICS which refer to some creative arts approach to infer VALUE from massive data. This book encompasses 3 parts: a definition of basic concepts along a comprehensive overview of DATA Standards to manage BIG DATA for structured data (SQL3, OQL), semi-structured data (SparQL) and non-structured data (NO SQL, CQL, NEWSQL); Presentation of HADOOP open source platform to manage unstructured data; HADOOP/MAP REDUCE is used by any Data Base Vendor; Presentation of R Language an open source environment for DATA Analytics with underlying mathematical models.
