The aware: The first world of Alex Ash

Alex Ash is an author living in the city of Bath in the UK. He’s an aware, someone who has enhanced communication skills, despite what his friend Mike thinks. It leads him into the world of George Marlin, with his house on the Royal Crescent where he holds meetings for the aware. George asks Lizzie, who lives nearby on the Circus, to look after Alex and tell him more about awareness. But is there more to Lizzie and George than Alex realises? Why does Lizzie suddenly suggest that she and Alex take a holiday abroad? Through all this Alex is writing a story. He has named the principal character after a girl he goes out with for a short time. But is this a story, or something else altogether?
