White Coven Awakening

Somewhere in the rolling hills, babbling brooks, and myriad lakes of New England and Upstate New York, lies the entirely mundane, magically-infested, and unfortunately fictitious town of Lincoln, NY. As the Earth's magnetic field rapidly shifts, as it has done so many times in the past, the magic, dormant or hibernating for 1200-ish years, floods back into the world, for good and for evil. Creatures of myth and legend are awakening from hibernation to meet a world transformed beyond their wildest imagining. They began their forced slumber in the 9th century as lords of their domain and awakened in 2022 into the Anthropocene, the world of men.

The Great Magic first manifests in our hero, Angie Durkin, a 16-year-old geeky high schooler who lives in rural upstate New York. Awakening chronicles Angie's coming of age as she invents herself and navigates first true love, AP calculus, evil gangsters, high school cliques, and ghosts both tragic and villainous. An abduction from the Halloween Homecoming dance awakens new powers in our heroine and her cohorts.

As Angie's powers emerge, and she finds her calling as a magical healer, her world gets strange and exciting as she learns to follow the White Witches' vow: "To Help, To Heal, and to never Harm unless absolutely necessary."
