Teenagers Clark and Kent (self-named from the old films their father used to watch) are among the first pioneers to venture onto the planet Polaris, so far from Earth that they had to pass through two space stations to get here. They have traveled without their parents, but they are resilient and strong, helping to shape the planet into a New Earth.
As the years go by, marriage and parenthood for one of them brings different problems, as well as having to face the friction caused by politicians and religious zealots. But in the end, somebody is going to have to decide...
