Detective Jim Dopeyworth is really looking forward to his summer holidays in Sandy Bay after solving two very complicated mysteries. He is going to meet up with his friend Flora, play on the beach and eat lots of fish and chips and ice-cream. What could be better?

The local ice-cream parlour, run by the very large and hairy Mrs Sprinkles, is very busy and even has a magic show with Whoopee Wayne performing the most incredible tricks. Jim is having such fun despite the unexpected arrival in town of his worst enemy.

But, as always, even a summer holiday doesn't run smoothly for our famous detective. Mysterious things are happening in Sandy Bay and the locals and visitors are very unhappy when everybodys money starts to go missing.
