This short book is a collection of reflections, mainly in the format of the old music-hall style monologues: some critical, some personal, some whimsical, some comical and some other words ending in -al. The Love is about Yorkshire - my home county to which I returned about a decade ago having moved south for work after graduating; my pleasure at returning to God's Own Country is reflected in the verses. The love is followed by a Miscellany which is a collection of monologues that includes Christmas, hair removal cream, a Yorkshire calypso and circular economics amongst other stuff - quite a wide range. The Vitriol is about the failings, as I see them, of central government and those who influence political thinking for personal gain and not for the benefit of society. To finish there's 'Meet The Author' - in monologue format and some verse. When asking what's special about Yorkshire Tourists are told 'seek, then ye shall find' They'll find it's more than a county But an inherent state of the mind. The thoughts expressed here are mine alone and cover quite a lot of ground, so, hopefully something for everyone. Enjoy!
