Harry and Albert are now deceased but their ghosts continue to bicker and corrupt an alternate heaven, as they guide Hal and Cherry. B about Lampblack Steptoe family history while unwittingly mimicking through Randall and Hopkirk style scenarios the playacting Steptoe's of Shepherd's Bush, Hal and Cherry. B learn about the junk game, Albert's time in the Home Guard, Cousin Jarvis and branches of the Steptoe family and family romantic assignations, past and present.
