Giovanni Antonio Canal, commonly known as Canaletto, was an eighteenth century painter of Venetian cityscapes, that were popular with aristocrats who took the Grand Tour as part of their education. The paintings were taken as souvenirs of their visit and took pride of place in their own large country houses. In the mid-century, Canaletto visited England, staying for about six years, where he painted cityscapes of London that proved equally popular. Printed on FSC-certified paper, with plastic-free packaging.
