Here we have a story of adventure for young adults. Told by Freya, a teenage girl, who, in a different adventure, takes us away from the habitual routines of those growing-up years-often boring, sometimes slightly mentally troubling-as one enters early adulthood wrestling with 'wakey-woke' matters and new emerging gender issues encountered almost daily, leaving many sometimes confused as to who they really are.
The story breaks away from the normal routines of daily life, introducing adventures only dreams are made of. It tells of a place where, if found, we can create our own dreamed-of events, situations, friends, and chosen surroundings in which to enjoy that entire new creation-one where Freya meets a seventeen-year-old guy she names Luke.
As the story progresses, it becomes apparent the dream is a virtual reality, to be enjoyed in ways almost beyond belief. To a point where young adults going there become fulfilled and blissfully happy. It makes 'growing up' such a pleasant, exciting, perfect substitute to the existing game plan. Initially, Freya moves between her life here on Earth and her newly created world she names 'Reality, ' almost as if dwelling between 'parallel universes, ' until a happy, loving relationship with Luke evolves and she chooses never to return!
This adventure is far from a 'running away, ' more so, a 'running to'-to a place anyone of us could only dream of. A truly inspirational adventure worth reading.
