The AWI wargamer guide provides a comprehensive overview of the American War for Independence, 1775-1782. The guide includes a series of maps showing the location of major battles by year with accompanying summaries of the major campaigns and battles of the war. The Guide will also include details of lesser-known engagements. Detailed information on the organization of the American and British armies along with the Hessians and French will allow wargamers to focus their efforts on specific campaigns or battles. The Guide will provide specific information on not only American Continental and British regular units but also Hessians, American militia and British provincial and loyalist units. Orders of battle for selected campaigns and specific battles will be provided. Uniform guides, including uniform colours and facings for each of the participants will be included along with descriptions of flags. The Guide will provide information on rules for the period and an overview of various miniatures available in a range of scales. The Guide will include several scenarios for tabletop wargaming, each accompanied by maps, orders of battle and painting guide. Information for several historical campaign scenarios will be provided illustrating how campaigns can be used add a new dimension to wargaming and to generate tabletop battles. 109 colour photos, 14 colour maps, 23 tables
