This is a handy reference book for those interested in the subject of Islam. The supplement at the end of the dictionary contains articles relevant to Islam. The Quranic terms in this dictionary are the modern translations of Arabic into English. The most prominent entries have the Arabic word in brackets after the English translation. There are nearly a thousand references in the book. Some of the terms have been extensively analysed to give a broad understanding of the issues involved that often includes an examination of its relationship to other terms. Where possible, claims in the Quran have been examined according to evidence drawn from scientific, historical, and scriptural sources.
