According to tradition, Juan Diego was the first to experience the apparition of the Virgin Mary on December 9, 1531. On this apparition the Vigin Mary ordered Juan Diego to give a message on her behalf to the Archbishop Juan de Zumarraga. Juan Diego did as he was told but failed, what happens in the course of the following days can not be more than a miracle.
