Yamaha's third generation R6 was launched in 2006. After two years it received a number of engine upgrades, most significant being Yamaha's YCC-I electronically controlled variable intake funnels with associated changes to the airbox and throttle bodies. Less apparent were detail changes to the pistons, crankshaft bearings, valve springs and cam chain tensioner. Apart from minor modifications to the bodywork, front forks, front brake discs and frame, changes to the chassis have been minor. This new manual from Haynes covers the YZF-R6 from 2006 to 2013.
