Ute M ller is a strong and driven woman who emigrated from Germany to Tasmania quite late in life. There she had some huge changes to face, and had to re-craft her life on her own, and learn to farm as well.

Her interesting tale takes us from the beginning of WWII in what became East Germany after the war and starts in the town of Erfurt in the Thuringia region of Germany, where she was born and raised for a number of years.

The author is clearly a warm and interested individual, passionate about a number of social and environmental concerns and it is interesting to have a view from the side-lines into the start of environmental awareness in the world.

Other than that, this delightful book takes the reader on a few tours of some of the most beautiful and remarkable places in the world.
