Beautifully illustrated throughout, this 738-word fiction story is suitable for ages 6 - 7. Ha Ha Hyena features a longer, more demanding text with an extended vocabulary. It uses punctuation and layout to encourage reading with expression. It had more complex words and formal sentences and there are complex events. Ha Ha Hyena is part of Ransom Reading Stars, a structured programme for children learning to read.
