The Many Colours of Home

Sultana is a bright and curious first-grader living in Damascus, Syria. Her best friend, Zainab, treasures her beloved doll, never letting anyone else hold it. But when war shatters their world, Zainab makes a heartbreaking decision-she entrusts her doll to Sultana, unsure if they will ever see each other again.

Forced to flee, Sultana and her family embark on a difficult journey, leaving behind everything she has ever known. Now in Canada, she struggles to learn English, make new friends, and find her place in an unfamiliar world. As she clings to the doll, she wonders: Will Canada ever feel like home? Will she ever see Zainab? And can a single doll carry the memories of a lost friendship across oceans and time?
