Languages that predominates are Hausa, chiShona and chiChewa. The poets worked from their traditions and cultures to craft poems that deal with an array of human issues; from identity, culture, traditions, love, relationships, death, spirituality..., and the poems through translation into English still retained their essence: rich language, rich traditions and powerful thoughts that have guided each culture through the ages. This anthology is a preservation and celebration of our languages, cultures and humanity.
