Thirteen-year-old Kate, who belongs to a family of werewolves in a cabin in the woods, thinks she’d rather turn into a duck each full moon - that is if a werewolf-hunting journalist doesn’t track down her family first!

Kate’s family has told her that on the first full moon after her thirteenth birthday she’ll hear the ‘whoooo’ call of the moon, howl back, and become a werewolf just like them. But Kate doesn’t want to be a wolf. She’s always felt more like a…duck.

On the night of her first full moon, Kate stands near her family’s cabin in the woods and hears the moon calling - but it sounds like more of a ‘whooo? ’ as in ‘who are you?’ So Kate does what she’s always wanted to do - she quacks.

Her family tries to understand Kate’s new full-moon form, but they are also busy integrating themselves with some new, edgy werewolves in town.
