A series of powerful new works by fibre artist Tammy Kanat, Circle of Her explores Jewish female archetypes through large-scale woven installations. The book, and its accompanying exhibition, reimagine traditional narratives through a contemporary lens - with vibrant colour, intricate texture and a deeply symbolic approach. Along with Jewish archetypes, the sculptures also pay tribute to the very real women in the artist's own life - her mother, daughter, sister, friends, colleagues, and the artists who inspire her - all part of a circle that holds, nurtures, and connects. At its heart, the Circle of Her is about honouring the threads that shape us, the women we come from, those beside us, and the ones we carry within. Authors include Sally Dan Cuthbert, Dr. Paola Di Trocchio, Esther Gyorki, Professor Natalie King OAM and Rachelle Unreich, with images by Josh Robenstone and Selina Ou.
