Three Tongan children suddenly find themselves with a problem when their father, who's away working in New Zealand, tells them he can't keep his promise to send them chocolate Easter Eggs. What are they to do? Does this mean they're doomed to a miserable Easter? The children discuss their problem with their Mummy and Nana and decide to take charge of family Easter celebrations themselves. After a lot of thought they decide to make paper Easter egg cards to share. They are nearly finished their project when there's a crisis. Semisi takes the card he's made for Daddy to show his friends at school. They laugh at him and tell him the whole idea is stupid. He is very upset and it looks like the whole project will fail. With Nana's help the childrens' confidence is restored. They celebrate with traditional sweets they've made themselves on Easter Saturday. The book is written for children 8-10 years old who enjoy reading chapter books. Younger children will enjoy their parents reading it to them.
