Their unwelcome arrival in Cuba is seen as a threat by the pharmaceutical companies and dirty tricks begin, with as much action off the field as on. When a media black-out thwarts Helen's plans to promote, it is up to the antics of strangers to draw attention to Billy's efforts.

New friendships are forged in an uphill battle competing against drug enhanced giants, all contending for their own reasons. New World Records are set, and horrible injuries occur.
