Complementary Approaches to Macular Degeneration

Age related macular degeneration (AMD) is a widespread problem in our aging population globally. For many years the treatment options have been limited with many keen to know if there are alternative treatments to receiving a regular injection in the eye in an effort to stay off sight loss. Treatments with patients using a combination of Acupuncture, Sonodynamic therapy have inspired the development of this work. It is a deep dive into established evidence-based practice and an examination of whether such treatments can be helpful.
