The village of Dunwall is under attack. In the dense woods that surround the secluded villagers, an ancient and primal evil stalks the tress, killing villagers who dare stray from their home.

When the Knights of the King, the highly trained servants of the King of Elesia, are sent to the village to slay the monster, a young knight in training named Marcus rides with them.

His quest is simple: Slay the monster and he will be made a knight.

But as the details surrounding the monstrous being stalking the woods begin to unravel and he finds himself fighting back against an ancient beast unlike any he's seen before, Marcus begins to realize that sometimes the worst monsters are not beings with horns and claws.
