Penny is a relatable character who tells her story in entertaining diary entries. She has an annoying, younger brother and a nemesis neighbor, Jeffrey. Penny writes about her life during 2020 and how she and her family made the best out of a hard situation. Some of her experiences include virtual school, birthday parades (wasn’t hers), lack of toilet paper, and how her holidays were different from the past. The story ends on a positive note, remembering the good times they had over those months of quarantine.
