Behind the Green Door memoir of a time traveler, is a 90,000-word coming of age, historical, science fiction novel of a young girl’s journey struggling with the dilemma of time, faith and loyalty, that fits the, na and upmarket.
It's1892. Eighteen year old misfit, Camarilla Rae Berkelman, orphaned at a young age, loses the last tatters of faith she has, blaming God for all of life’s ills. While raised in a special mental institution with some very special people, another misfortune forces her to leave the only home she knows and loves which brings her to the task as a caregiver, unknowingly, for someone from her past. Through their friendship, Camarilla discovers her true identity- the inventor of time travel. With a timeline plagued with her mishaps, Camarilla is determined to mend her wrongs. Along with a rather odd partner, a devoted, large, black feathered friend, the two travel on a timeline ready to snap. When she arrives, Camarilla Rae finds herself once again grappling with God, and other time travelers, in a time and place that she does not belong- the Titanic.
