Black Lake

In the small, timbering town of Black Lake, North Carolina, life seemingly consists of only honest, hard work. But that's before newcomer Ed Hawk becomes the town's lone police officer and is found murdered on Halloween night, 1963. While a manhunt closes in on the suspect, the grieving widow discovers evidence of her husband's last investigation and begins having questions. Is it possible that Ed stumbled onto a dark town secret before his death? Who in town can she trust? With the help of her quirky schoolteacher friend, Wendy, and rookie deputy sheriff, Aaron, Becky Hawk walks the thin line between finding her answers and avoiding the same fate as her husband.
