In 4.4 Lessons from Years of Celibacy, Candalada shares the journey of celibacy in her thirties. The book has four storylines and follows her son, Mom, Grandmother, and herself. It includes raw excerpts from her diary, sexual fantasies, coping with grief, and raising her son-organized chaos at its finest.

4.4 Lessons from Years of Celibacy unfolds chronologically, marked by Septembers that commemorate the anniversary of her mother's loss. Throughout her grief journey, she experiences the ebb and flow of motherhood and healing. Her dating life oscillates between nonexistent and ill-advised encounters.

At the four-year, four-month mark, Candalada feels confident enough to lower her guard with an incompatible man, which leads to a significant regression in her growth. She realizes that her self-imposed isolation has left her unprepared for the scrutiny of men who exploit vulnerabilities. Facing this mental setback, Candalada seeks help beyond traditional talk therapy. She assembles a custom healing team to rebuild an intuitive version of herself unburdened by past experiences. The book offers a transparent account of this process, detailing how addressing her inner child ultimately makes her a more emotionally healthy adult.

Each chapter reveals a powerful narrative of triumph; Candalada's resilience and perseverance will inspire readers universally.
